    Abstract

    ABSTRACT THE APLICATION ANALYSIS OF PHANTOM DETAIL IMAGE APPLYING THE CONVERSION DIGITAL DATA TO MATRIX METHOD INCREASING THE IMAGE CONTRAST THROUGH IMAGING PLATE FILM By UMI PRATIWI M0201049 The research aims to determine the attenuation coefficient, the scatter fraction and phantom image contrast of acrylic PMMA (polymethil methacrylate) from phantom rese. Determining attenuation coefficient of bone material (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2) and aluminium metal. The image quality can be increased by the conversion method from digital data to matrix data so that it can make image contrast analyzing quantitatively and qualitatively. The appearance of lession image achieved locally by Region of Interest (ROI) method. The scattered radiation is measured using beam stopper employing timbel strip (Pb) with wide variation of discharge 85 kVp. Phantom A is installed in current 3,25 mAs and phantom B is installed in current 1,25 mAs. Phantom image is recorded using the Imaging Plate Film BAS_ 1800II Storage Phospor Imaging. The value of phantom image contrast ROI on the smallest diameter and depth at the the 16th lesion have increases 98 % is before reduced by scatter 0,042 ± 0,004 and after reduced by scatter 0,088 ± 0,009 for phantom A. Meanwhile, for phantom B the value is before reduced by scatter 0,069 ± 0,002 and after scatter 0,117 ± 0,003 reduction. The coefficient attenuation value for bone material is 0,028 ± 0,002 mm-1 and 0,121 ± 0,005 mm-1 for aluminium metal.
