PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION (CIRC) DALAM PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA INTENSIF PADA SISWA KELAS IV SDN 2 TRIKARSO TAHUN AJARAN 2017/2018, Skripsi. Surakarta: Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret. April 2018. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC dalam peningkatan keterampilan membaca intensif pada siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Trikarso tahun ajaran 2017/2018, (2) meningkatkan keterampilan membaca intensif melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC pada siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Trikarso tahun ajaran 2017/2018, (3) mendeskripsikan kendala dan solusi penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) kolaborasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan tiga siklus yang terdiri atas 5 pertemuan. Pada tiap pertemuan menggunakan prosedur penelitian model spiral yang terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Trikarso. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Uji validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) langkah-langkah penggunaan model CIRC dalam peningkatkan keterampilan membaca intensif siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Trikarso tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yaitu (a) orientasi, (b) pembentukan kelompok secara heterogen, (c) pembagian bacaan sesuai dengan topik pembelajaran yang akan dibahas, (d) diskusi kelompok, (e) pembacaan hasil diskusi kelompok, (f) kesimpulan, (g) penutup, (2) penggunaan model CIRC dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca intensif siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Trikarso tahun ajaran 2017/2018, terlihat dari jumlah siswa yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal 75 pada siklus I sebanyak 50% , siklus II sebanyak 70%, dan siklus III sebanyak 95%, (3) kendala pelaksanaan yaitu siswa belum berani berpendapat saat kegiatan diskusi berlangsung, kurang aktif menanggapi presentasi kelompok dan solusi terhadap kendala tersebut adalah membimbing kelompok, mengapresiasi pendapat yang disampaikan siswa, dan memberikan reward yang dapat memotivasi siswa untuk memberikan tanggapan. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah kemampuan membaca intensif siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Trikarso tahun ajaran 2017/2018 mengalami peningkatan setelah diterapkan model CIRC. THE APPLICATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TYPE OF COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION (CIRC) IN IMPROVING INTENSIVE READING SKILL FOR THE FOURTH GRADE STUDENT OF SDN 2 TRIKARSO IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2017/2018, Thesis. Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University. April 2018. The objectives of this research are to (1) describe the steps of applying CIRC cooperative learning model type in improving intensive reading skill for the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Trikarso in the academic year of 2017/2018, (2) improve intensive reading skill through CIRC cooperative learning model for the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Trikarso in the academic year of 2017/2018, and (3) describe problems and solutions for in the implementation of CIRC cooperative learning model. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research. The study was conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consisted of five meetings. In every meeting, a spiral model research procedure was conducted consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of this research were the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Trikarso. Sources of data in this research were teachers and students. Techniques of collecting data used in this research were test, observation, and interview. Validity of test was done by using data triangulation. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) the steps of using CIRC model in improving intensive reading skill of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Trikarso in the academic year 2017/2018 are (a) orientation, (b) group division, (c) the division of reading passage according to the topic of learning to be discussed, (d) group discussion, (e) informing of group discussion results, (f) conclusion, (g) closing, (2) the application of CIRC model can improve intensive reading skill for the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Trikarso in the academic year of 2017/2018. It was proven by the number of students who reach the minimum completeness criteria of 75 in the first cycle 50%, in the second cycle 70%, and in the third cycle 95%, and (3) the problems encountered in this research were students were afraid to express their opinion during discussion activities, they were less active in giving response to group presentations and solutions to these problems are to guide the group, appreciate students’ opinions, and give rewards that can motivate students to provide feedback. The conclusion of this research is the intensive reading skill at the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Trikarso in the academic year 2017/2018 has improved after the application of CIRC model.
