    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Jana Riskiana. PENERAPAN TEKNIK MAKE A MATCH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMBELAJARAN PKn TENTANG LEMBAGA PEMERINTAHAN TINGKAT PUSAT PADA SISWA KELAS IV SDN KALIWUNGU TAHUN AJARAN 2017/2018. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penerapan teknik make a match dalam pembelajaran PKn, (2) untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran PKn tentang Lembaga Pemerintahan Tingkat Pusat melalui teknik make a match, dan (3) untuk mendeskripsikan kendala dan solusi yang dihadapi dalam penerapan teknik make a match dalam pembelajaran PKn pada siswa kelas IV SDN Kaliwungu tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) kolaboratif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Kaliwungu tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 25 siswa yang terdiri dari 11 siswa laki-laki dan 14 siswa perempuan. Validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi yang berupa triangulasi sumber data dan teknik pengumpulan data. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Penerapan teknik make a match dilaksanakan melalui tujuh langkah, yaitu: (a) penyiapan kartu, (b) pembagian kartu, (c) pencarian jawaban, (d) pencarian pasangan, (e) pemberian poin, (f) pengulangan teknik, (g) pembuatan kesimpulan, (2) Penerapan teknik make a match dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran PKn tentang Lembaga Pemerintahan Tingkat Pusat pada siswa kelas IV. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan ketuntasan proses dan hasil belajar. Persentase proses belajar siklus I 62,50%, siklus II meningkat menjadi 76,00%, dan siklus III meningkat menjadi 88,00%. Persentase hasil belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 56,25%, siklus II meningkat menjadi 68,00%, dan siklus III meningkat menjadi 84%; dan (3) Kendala utama penerapan teknik make a match yaitu siswa gaduh dan kurang tertib, beberapa siswa enggan berpasangan dengan lawan jenis, siswa kurang bersemangat saat penyampaian materi, dan siswa berebut ingin diperiksa kartunya saat pemberian poin sehingga kurang memperhatikan kartu teman. Solusi untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut yaitu: mengatur, menguasai dan memperhatikan siswa di kelas, memberikan pengarahan agar siswa bekerja sama, memberikan motivasi saat siswa mulai bosan, mengarahkan siswa agar menunggu giliran diperiksa kartunya. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu penerapan teknik make a match dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran PKn tentang Lembaga Pemerintahan Tingkat Pusat pada siswa kelas IV SDN Kaliwungu tahun ajaran 2017/2018. THE APPLICATION OF MAKE A MATCH TECHNIQUE IN IMPROVING CIVIC EDUCATION LEARNING ABOUT CENTRAL GOVERNMENT INSTITUTION FOR THE FOURTH-GRADE STUDENTS OF SDN KALIWUNGU IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2017/2018. Thesis, The Faculty of Teacher Training and education. Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta. April 2018. The objectives of the research are: (1) to describe the application steps of Make a Match technique to improve civic education learning, (2) to describe the improvement of civic education learning about central government institution, and, (3) to describe the problems and solutions in the application of Make a Match technique on the civic education learning for the fourth-grade students of SDN Kaliwungu in academic year of 2017/2018. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in three cycles. Subjects of this research are fourth grade students of SDN Kaliwungu in the academic year of 2017/2018, totaling 25 students consisting of 11 male students and 12 female students. Validity of data in this research was analyzed using triangulation of sources and triangulation of technique. Sources of data were derived from teacher and students. Techniques of collecting data are test, observation, and interview. Analysis of data consists of reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The result of the research showed that: (1) the application of Make a Match technique has been carried out through seven steps, namely: (a) preparing cards, (b) distributing cards, (c) finding answers, (d) looking for partner, (e) giving points, (f) repeating the technique, and (h) drawing conclusion; (2) the application of Make a Match technique that was can improve civic education learning about central government institution. This is showed by increase of process completeness and learning outcomes. Percentage of learning process in the first cycle was 62,50%, in the second cycle increased to 76,00%, and in the third cycle increased to 88,00%. Percentage of learning outcomes in the first cycle was 56,25%, in the second cycle increased to 68,00%, and in the third cycle increased to 84%; (3) the main problem of the application of Make a Match technique are students are noisy and not discipline, some students do not want to have different-gender partners, students are less excited when the explanation of the materials, and students are noisy when the teacher gives points so they are less attention to friends’ cards. Solutions to overcome these obstacles are: organize, master and pay attention to the students in the classroom, provide guidance for students to work together, provide motivation when students are getting bored, directing students to wait their turn for card checking. The conclusion of this research is the application of Make a Match technique can improve civic education learning about central government institution of the fourth-grade students of SDN Kaliwungu in the academic year of 2017/2018.
