    Abstract

    ABSTRACT The increasing growth of popilation will cause increasing of activities to fullfil the need of the people. Besides to fullfil the need of the people, daily activities also give garbages or debris that cause damage for the land and have contributed to the global warming. One way to reduce the pile of garbage is make use of organic garbage become fertilizer. By doing this, we hope the land will have the naturally and reduce global warming and climate changing. The goal of this study is to : (1) get the information of the function of organic material for the compos quality; (2) distinguish the function of bioaktivator against the process of composting; (3) and get the validity between the bioactivator and kind of organic material for the composting. The kind of study used is experimental design with the experimental design. Design we used in the study is experimental random design with 2 factors treatment. Each factor that is: factor 1 is kind of garbage, that is S1 (garbage from TPS), S2 (garbage from grass), S3 (garbage from TPA). Faktor 2 is kind of bioactivator, that is B1 (liquid bioactivator/EM4), with the level concentration 0,01; 0,02; 0,04 and B2 (solid bioactivator/stardec) with the dosage 0,125%; 0,25%; 0,5%. All factors treatment were applied at the different time that is: 7 days, 14 days, 21 says, and 28 days, so that we got 72 combination of treatments. Result of the study show (1) material from organic grass result the compos with the best quality. N total (0,91%), P2O5 (0,7%), K2O (0,63% to 0,89%); (2) Liquid bioactivator (EM4) is taster in the composting process compare to solid bioactivator (stardec), with the 7 days for the P2O5 and K2O; (3) Material from grass with the bioaktivator stardec faster in the composting process (7 days), organic material from TPA and TPS have no different in using bioactivator EM4 and stardec.
