    Abstract

    ABSTRACT The Making of Solar Cell Panel Tracking System on the Basis of Microcontroller AT89C51 By Budi Yuwono M0200002 In this research tracking system of solar cell panel has been made. The work of this system is to control the direction of the solar cell panel always facing perpendicular to the solar radiations. The system was made using an AT89C51 Microcontroller chip (family MCS-51 Intel). Timer mode 1 on AT89C51 microcontroller manages the motor stepper rotation of the panel suitable with the solar direction movement. The result of this research shows that the solar panel with tracking system generates the higher output than that of the static solar cell panel. The increasing output on the measurement I is 15.0% and measurement II is 15.4 %. Keywords: Tracking system, Microcontroller AT89C51, Timer.
