    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Maretha Cikal Setiani. PENGARUH POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT TERHADAP SELF EFFICACY AKADEMIK DAN GENDER ANAK USIA DINI. Skripsi, Surakarta : Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta. November 2017. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh positive reinforcement terhadap self efficacy akademik dan gender anak usia dini. Penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis true experiment tipe two independent experiment control group design dengan sampel sejumlah 46 anak yang menggunakan teknik random assigment dalam pengambilan sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data menggukan skala yang mengacu pada The children Self Efficacy for Academic Achievement Scale Zimmerman, Bandura and Matinez-Pons sedangkan analisis data menggunakan statistik parametrik setelah data dinyatakan normal dan homogen dengan taraf signifikansi > 0,05. Uji hipotesis menggunakan t-test dengan SPSS 15 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa positive reinforcement memberikan pengaruh terhadap self efficacy akademik dan gender anak usia dini. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari hasil posttest kelompok eksperimen yang memiliki perbedaan signifikan bila dibandingkan dengan hasil posttest kelompok kontrol dan rata-rata hasil posttest anak perempuan lebih besar daripada hasil rata-rata posttest anak laki-laki. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh dari penerapan positive reinforcement terhadap self efficacy akademik dan gender anak usia dini. The true experimental research aimed to examine the effect of positive reinforcement toward early children’s academic self-efficacy and gender.This research is a quantitative true experiment with a type of two independent experiment control group design and 46 children for sample using random assigment. Data collection techniques using a scale adapted from The children Self Efficacy for Academic Achievement Scale Zimmerman, Bandura and Matinez- Pons and data analysis in this study used parametric statistic after data stated normal and homogneous with significanse level >0,05. Test the hypotesis used ttest with SPSS 15 for windows. The results showed positive reinforcement gives influence toward early children’s academic self-efficacy and gender. This is evidenced from the results posttest experimental group was significantly different when compared with the control group posttest results. The conclusion from this study is, there is the effect of positive reinforcement toward early children’s academic self-efficacy and gender.
