    Artemisia (Artemisia annua L.) is one of the alternative medicines that contain artemicynine compounds that are currently considered as effective drug for malaria treatment, but this plant is relatively lack of artemicynine, so it is necessary to increase the artemicynine within the plant. Efforts to increase the content of artemicynine is by induction of polyploid in Artemisia by using some colchicine concentration and age of seedlings, the results of this study is expected to be a solution to increase artemicynine content in Artemisia. The research method used is experimental method of Complete Random Design factorial. Factors used in this study were two factors: concentration colchicine and age of seedlingss. The concentration of colchisine used were K0 (0%), K1 (0,05%), K2 (0,1%), and K3 (0,2%), and age of seedling treatment were U1 (37 days after seedling (DAS)), U2 (41 DAS), U3 (45 DAS), and U4 (49 DAS). Observations of variables consist plant height, leaf length, leaf width, leaf thickness, diameter of stem, the number of branches, chlorophyll, stomatal density, diameter of stomata and the number of chromosome. The results showed, the combination of colchicine concentration treatment and age of seedling had no significant effect. Age of seedling treatment has significantly affects plant height and leaf width, while the colchicine concentration treatment has significant effects plant height. The treatment of 0.2% colchicine concentration, there were plants with the lowest stomatal density of 153 stomata/mm2, and there were plants indicated by polyploid with 2n = 36 chromosome in treatment of 0.2% colchicine concentration
