    Abstract

    Abstract: The aimed of this research was to knew the effectiveness of token economy technique to enhance self efficacy of fifth grade students of Elementary School. This research was a pre experimental research with one-group pre-test post-test design. The subjects of this research were drawn from students who had low self efficacy and recommendations from homeroom teacher. Based on the recommendation of homeroom teacher there were 13 students who became the subject of this research. Data analysis used analysis with Wilcoxon test and clinical analysis. The result of Wilcoxon test was known that Z of -3.187b with a significance value of 0,001. The results showed 0,001 <0,05 which means there was a significant difference between pre-test data with post-test data of research subjects. These differences indicate an increase in post-test score of research subjects after treatment. The result could be interpreted that the treatment of token economy technique was effective to enhance self efficacy of fifth grade students of Elementary School. The clinical analysis shows that the change of behavior on the subject after treatment. In general, the students were embarrassed to ask the teacher, difficult to express opinions in the graderoom, not ready to face challenges, afraid of coming to the front of the class, and have an indifferent attitude in learning. After being treated with token economy technique, the students could be ask and argue bravely, ready to face challenges, got confident to came in front of the class, and could focus to learn. Based on the findings of the research was known that the treatment of token economy technique was effective to enhance self efficacy of fifth grade students of Elementary School.
