    Abstract

    This study aims to: (1) analyze the need of Earthcomm-based electronic module use in XI grade of SMA MTA Surakarta. (2) design Earthcomm-based electronic module. (3) develop Earthcomm-based electronic module on the material of wisdom in the use of natural resources in order to improve environmental concern of students. (4) implement and evaluate Earthcomm-based electronic module to improve environmental concern of students on the material of wisdom in the use of natural resources at XI grade of SMA MTA Surakarta. The study is a Research and Development (R & D) research with model of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). Environmental concern of the students is measured by employing questionnaire of New Ecological Paradigm (NEP). Results of the study are that: (1) The students need of Earthcomm-based electronic module is 79.1% or in the category of necessary to improve the environmental concern. (2) Earthcomm-based electronic module is designed by employing application of Flipbook Maker and is packaged in the form of Compact Disk containing the learning materials and media. (3) Earthcomm-based electronic module is validated by the media expert, material expert, and linguist with the percentage of 83% in a very appropriate category and by the sample test with the percentage 84.3% or in a very good category. (4) Earthcomm-based electronic module is implemented in XI IIS 1 SMA MTA with the effectivity to improve the students’ environmental concern of tstatistic= 18.27 > ttable =2.055. Therefore, the Earthcomm-based electronic module can be employed to improve the environmental concern of the students. It is shown by the improvement of NEP dimension. In the dimension of Limits To Growth, the score of the students increases up to 63.1 (concerned), dimension of Anti Anthropocentrism is 64.1 (concerned), The Ftagilitiy of Natures Balance dimension is 65.4 (concerned), Rejection of Exemptionalism dimension is 63 (concerned), and The Possibility of an Ecocrisis dimension is 64.4 (concerned). Meanwhile, overall, the students’ average score is 64 in the category of very concerned. Keywords: electronic module, earthcomm, natural resources, NEP
