    Abstract Gaudentius Julio Oktobrata, E0013196, IMPLEMENTATION OF JOB TRAINING IN BALAI LATIAN KERJA SURAKARTA BY ASSESSING THE SUITABILITY OF THE IMPLEMENTATION WITH GOVERNMENT REGULATION NUMBER 31 OF 2006 ABOUT THE NATIONAL JOB TRAINING SYSTEM FOR GENERATING WORK COMPETENCE TO FACE THE JOB MARKET COMPETITIVENESS Employee as an actor of the Organization plays an important role in realizing national development. Technological advances led to the onset of the competition world of work. The needs for qualified human resources also continues to increase. Therefore, we required job training to produce the competence to face the competitiveness of the job market. This research aims to analyse and assess implementation of job training in Balai Latian Kerja Surakarta by assessing the suitability of the implementation with Government Regulation Number 31 of 2006 regarding the national job training System about National job training System and assessing the graduates ability of Balai Latihan Kerja Surakarta to face the competition in job market. This research using empirical methods with qualitative descriptive approach. Data obtained from primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained directly from the results of interviews in Balai Latihan Kerja Surakarta and training participant, and the secondary data obtained from literatures. Based on the results of research, implementation of job training in the Balai Latihan Kerja Surakarta is in compliance with Government Regulation Number 31 of 2006 regarding the national job training System. The role of the Balai Latihan Kerja Surakarta is to create a workforce that is competent and certified, and able to answer the challenge in labour market. Training at Balai Latihan Kerja Surakarta refers to competency-based training that is based on knowledge, skills, and attitude/behaviour.
