    Abstract

Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is defined as rupture of the membranes that occurs spontaneously before the onset of labor. The time between the occurrence of premature rupture of membranes at the time of delivery provides an opportunity for infection. This study aimed to analyze the differences in perinatal outcomes among preterm premature rupture of membranes of infected pregnancy and pregnant preterm premature rupture of membranes is not infected in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta in 2013. Methods: This study was observational analytic research with cross sectional approach, carried out in Section Perinatology and Neonatology RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. The subjects used in this study is a secondary data/ medical records of patients who gave birth in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta from January 1st, 2013-December 31th, 2013. Samples were taken with the medical records of patients meeting criteria for inclusion and exclusion regardless of the time of give birth January 1st, 2013 – December31th, 2013. The sample was a fixed disease sampling, was selected the subject of research by childbirth status. The number of samples obtained by 90 patients studied on neonatal Apgar score, neonatal temperature, leukocyte numbers neonates, NICU hospitalization, length of hospitalization neonates, the incidence of neonatal sepsis and neonatal death. Results: From the research results obtained preterm PROM infected pregnant significantly increase the risk of neonatal asphyxia 6 times ( P = 0.000 ( <0.05 ) and OR = 6.036 ), the occurrence of fever 27 times ( P = 0.000 ( <0.05 ) and OR = 27.378 ), 20 times the incidence of neonatal leukocytosis ( P = 0.000 ( <0.05 ) and OR = 20.370 ), care needs NICU 7 times ( P = 0.000 ( <0.05 ) and OR = 7.456 ), duration of hospitalization length of 11 times ( P = 0.000 ( < 0.05) and OR = 11.667 ), the incidence of sepsis 12 times ( P = 0.000 ( <0.05 ) and OR = 12.363 ), and 8 times neonatal mortality ( P = 0.000 ( <0.05 ) and OR = 8.944 ) higher than uninfected. Conclusion: It was concluded that perinatal outcomes in preterm premature rupture of membranes uninfected pregnant better than infected.
