    Abstract

    The purpose of this research is to know: (1) learning writing on Indonesian language subjects in the current elementary school, (2) the development procedure of Contence Muzzle model in Indonesian learning for elementary students developed from this research, (3) effectiveness of the Contence Muzzle model to improve writing skills on Indonesian subjects for elementary students. The type of this research is used research and development, experimental design is usedTrue Experimental Design with Postest Only Control Design. The population in this research is the 3th grade of Elementary School in Tirtomoyo District, academic year 2015/2016. Sampling technique in this research is non probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. In this study the samples are SD Negeri 3 Dlepih, SD Negeri 3 Sukoharjo, SD Negeri 1 Arjosari, and SD Negeri 1 Tanjungsari. Technique of collecting data using test and non test. Data analysis is done by parametric statistic if it meets the normal and homogeny and non parametric requirement if both conditions are not fulfilled. The result of the research shows: (1) in one sub-district running two different curriculum, the assessment of Indonesian learning is still accumulated, the learning model has lead to student center learning, there are students who have not been able to achieve the minimum mastery criteria, (2) required a model that further motivates students with a scoring system that includes cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects and involves students actively in learning (3) there is a difference between mean score in experiment and control class, difference of cognitive value equal to 10.67%, difference of affective value equal to 82,21%, difference of psychomotor value equal to 16,73%.
