    Abstract

    APPLICATION OF DRYING BED METHOD ON WWT SLUDGE DRYING PROCESS AT PT INTI GANDA PERDANA NORTH JAKARTA PLANT, DKI JAKARTA Tabita Putri Gandes 1, Yeremia Rante Ada’ 2 Background : High water levels in sludge cause some losses, one of which is environmental pollution. The reduced amount of sludge to be disposed of is the advantage of applying the optimum sludge drying process at the company. The purpose of this research is to know the percentage of decrease of sludge number after optimization using drying bed method. Method : Type of this research is observational with descriptive method to describe the optimization of sludge drying process with drying bed method at PT Inti Ganda Perdana. Results : After optimizing the sludge drying process with drying bed method, the water content in sludge decreased by 21.875%. The amount of sludge disposed as of March 2017 (after improvement) decreased by 41.15%. Conclusion : Sludge drying process can be more optimal with the drying bed method which is simple and easy to do. With this improvement, PT Inti Ganda Perdana has fulfilled one of the requirements in terms of B3 waste management arranged in Astra Green Company. Keywords : Sludge, Drying Bed, Water Content 1.
