The Effect of Biodiesel Addition to Diesel Fuel and The Apllication of Square Finned Pipe in the Upper Tank Radiator on Fuel Consumption in the Test Drive of Isuzu Panther LV2001 Car. Thesis, Surakarta: Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Sebelas Maret University, July 2017. The research aims to investigate: (1) The effect of biodiesel addition to diesel fuel on fuel consumption in the Isuzu Panther LV2001 car test drive. (2) The effect of fuel heating through square finned pipes inside the upper tank radiator on fuel consumption in the Isuzu Panther LV2001 car test drive. (3) The effect of biodiesel addition to diesel fuel and fuel heating through square finned pipes in upper tank radiator on fuel consumption in the Isuzu Panther LV2001 car test drive. This study belongs to descriptive quantitative research. The population for this research is Isuzu Panther LV2001 car. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique and determined the sample is Isuzu Panther car LV2001 4 cylinder with frame number TBR51. The data analyzing technique is descriptive analysis with comparative approach. The test drive is conducted 2.7 km on Solo-Kertosono Boyolali toll road. The variations of amount of biodiesel in to diesel fuel are 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30%. Then the variations of the distance between square finned pipe are 10 mm, 20 mm, and 30 mm. The results of this research are: (1) There is an effect of biodiesel addition in to diesel fuel on fuel consumption in the Isuzu Panther LV2001 car. The most efficient consumption of 15% biodiesel is 266.7 ml/km. The consumption of standard condition is 400 ml/km. The consumption difference is 133.3 ml/km or 33.3% of the standard consumption. (2) There is an effect of fuel heating through square finned pipes inside the upper tank radiator on fuel consumption in the Isuzu Panther LV2001 car. The most efficient consumption of radiators is 30 mm square finned pipe of 324,7 ml/km. The consumption difference is 75,3 ml/km or 18.8% of the standard consumption (3) There is an effect of biodiesel addition and fuel heating through square finned pipe in the upper tank radiator on fuel consumption in the Isuzu Panther LV2001 car. The most efficient consumption is in addition of 20% biodiesel and heating with 30 mm square finned pipe of 206.4 ml/km. The consumption difference is 193.6 ml/km or 48.4% of the standard consumption.
