THE APPLICATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TO IMPROVE LEARNING OUTCOME OF SHOT PUT BASIC MOVEMENT IN THE 5TH GRADERS OF SD NEGERI 1 KAYULOKO OF SIDOHARJO SUB DISTRICT OF WONOGIRI IN THE SCHOOL YEAR OF 2016/2017. Thesis, Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Surakarta Sebelas Maret University, August 2017. The objective of research was to improve the learning outcome of shot put basic movement in the 5th graders of SD Negeri 1 Kayuloko of Sidoharjo Sub District of Wonogiri in the school year of 2016/2017 by applying cooperative learning model. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles, each of which consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of research was all of the 5th graders of SD Negeri 1 Kayuloko of Sidoharjo Sub District of Wonogiri in the school year of 2016/2017, consisting of 26 students: 16 boys and 11 girls. The data source derived from teacher and students. Techniques of collecting data used in this CAR were test and observation, data collection through test before and after the cooperative learning application in the material of shot put basic movement. Observation was conducted to observe the students’ behavior change in every cycle. Data validation was carried out using method triangulation technique. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive analysis technique based on qualitative analysis with percentage. The result of research showed that the use of learning model in group in physical education, sport and health subject could improve the learning outcome of shot put basic movement in the 5th graders of SD Negeri 1 Kayuloko of Sidoharjo Sub District of Wonogiri in the school year of 2016/2017. It was indicated with 16 (61.50%) students passing through the learning successfully in cycle I, 22 (84.62%) out of 26 students passing through the learning successfully in cycle II. Meanwhile, the mean score of students’ learning outcome was 76.23 in cycle I, increasing to 83.34 in cycle II. The score of final condition increased and exceeded the minimum target expected, that was, at least 80% of students in a class could pass through the learning successfully.
