THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THINK TALK WRITE (TTW) STRATEGY AND FLASHCARD LEARNING MEDIA TO IMPROVE THE WRITING DESCRIPTIVE SKILL (The Classroom Action in the Fourth Grade Students of SD Negeri Dari 2 of the academic year 2016/2017). Thesis, Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University, July 2017. The purpose of this research is to improve the writing descriptive skill by applying the Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy and Flashcard learning media at fourth grade students of Dari 2 State Primary School in the academic year of 2016/2017. The type of this research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consist of 2 meetings with 4 steps are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Subject of research are teacher and fourth grade students of Dari 2 state Primary School in the academic year of 2016/2017, consist of 23 students. The technique data collecting using are test, interview, observation and documentation. The data validity of this research are tested by content validity and triangulation. The data analysis used were interactive analysis. The result of research at preaction stage, average value of writing descriptive skill reached 58,82 with 21,74% of classical completeness. On the first cycle, the average value achieved 71,91 with 65,22% of classical completeness. On the second cycle, the average value increased up to 77,60 with 86,96% of classical completeness. The conclusion of the research is applying the Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy and Flashcard learning media can improve the writing skill at fourth grade students of Dari 2 State Primary School in the academic year of 2016/2017.
