    Abstract

    ABSTRACT Winda Marlina. K4213073. USING LEARNING MODEL NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER (NHT) WITH MEDIA VIDEO TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING SKILL THE CONTENT OF FOLKLORE TEXT IN THE 7TH F GRADERS OF SMP NEGERI 4 SURAKARTA IN THE SCHOOL YEAR OF 2016/2017. Skripsi, Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty Sebelas Maret Surakarta University. October 2017. This research aimed to improve learning process and result of understanding skill the content of folklore text in the 7th F graders of SMP Negeri 4 Surakarta in the school year of 2016/2017 using learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) with media video. The study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted two cycles, each of which consisted of 4 stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of research was the 7th F graders of SMP Negeri 4 Surakarta consisting of 30 students. The data source used include event, informant, and document. The data collection was conducted using observation, interview, document analysis, and test. The validation was carried out using source and method triangulations. Techniques of analyzing data used were descriptive comparative and critical analysis. The result of research on the using learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) with media video wasto increase of learning process and result of understanding skills the content of folklore text. The learning process increased in the proportion of activeness in the aspects of questioning, answering, and expressing opinion. In the aspect of questioning increases from 63,3% becomes 83,3%. In the aspect of answering increase from 60% becomes 80%. In the aspect of expressing opinion increases from 46,7% becomes 80%. Student which get passing successfully in pre-cyclesof understanding skills the content of folklore text was amount 33,3% and then improve on cycles I amount 63,3% and improve again on cycles II amount 86,7%. Based on data result of research, the conclusion of research was that using learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) with media video could improve the learning prosess and result of understanding skills the content of folklore text in the 7th F graders of SMP Negeri 4 Surakarta in the school year of 2016/2017.
