    Abstract

    This study aims to analyze: 1) the characteristics of Specific Subject Pedagogic (SSP) device developing to strengthen the readiness to behave environmentally in envronmental conservation material of Grade XI Students of SMAN 3 Ponorogo in the academic year of 2015/2016; 2) the appropriateness of Specific Subject Pedagogic (SSP) device developing to strengthen the readiness to behave environmentally in envronmental conservation material of Grade XI Students of SMAN 3 Ponorogo in the academic year of 2015/2016; 3) the effectiveness of Specific Subject Pedagogic (SSP) device developing to strengthen the readiness to behave environmentally in envronmental conservation material of Grade XI Students of SMAN 3 Ponorogo in the academic year of 2015/2016. Research and Development (R&D) method was used as the methodology of the study. It refers to model 4 D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) while Thiagarajan modifies it into 3D (Define, Design, Develop). The sample development included first sample field trials which consisted of 2 validators and 3 practitioners, small sample field trials which consisted of 9 students and operational sample field trials which consisted of 59 students. The instruments used in the study were validation sheet, NEP questioners, students’ response questioners, observation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Operational field trials used one group pre-post test design. The data of the students’ readiness of sustainable behavior and cognitive result were counted by sample paired t-test. Based on the result of the studies, it can be concluded that: 1) SSP geograph envronmental material to strengthen the readiness to behave environmentally can be develop using some components, syllabus, RPP, students’ book, teacher’s book, and evaluation devices; 2) the appropriateness of SSP material of environmental conservation based on the appraisal of experts, practitioners, and students’ responses can be categorized as appropriate product development and suitable to use in SMAN 3 Ponorogo; 3) the effectiveness of SSP material of environmental conservation shows the significant enchantment by the significant number of 0,000 in strengthening the readiness to behave environmentally and student’s cognitive result studies.
