    Abstract

Early pregnancy failure faced by many pregnant women, and 37,5 % of them is Blighted ovum .Blighted ovum 15% caused by immune system disorder. Human Leukocyte Antigen-E and Nature Killer Cell suggested have important role in pathogenesis of Blighted Ovum. OBJECTIVE : This study aims to analyse the difference of Human Leukocyte Antigen-E (HLA-E) and Nature Killer Cell (NK Cell) Expression in Trophoblast between Blighted Ovum and Normal Pregnancies METHODS:Our study employed an observational cross sectional approach. Thirty two samples were divided into two groups, 16 samples with normal pregnancies and 16 samples with blighted ovum. Both groups underwent examination for HLA-E and NK Cell expression in trophoblast using immunohistochemistry method. Statistical analysis was done using t-test. RESULT: The mean expression 0f HLA-E in Blighted ovum trophoblast groups was 75.15+6.30 with comparison normal pregnancies groups 83.13+11.26, in getting the value p=0.000 (p<0.05). The mean expression of NK Cell in Blighted ovum trophoblast groups was 79.72+6.63 with comparison normal pregnancies groups 93.88+14.08, in getting the value p=0.000 (p<0.05). CONCLUSION : There was a significant difference expression of HLA-E and NK Cell in trophoblast between normal pregnancies and blighted ovum. HLA-E and NK Cell expression was lower in blighted ovum. KEYWORDS: HLA-E, NK Cell, blighted ovum, normal pregnancy
