    Abstract

    Groundnut production in Indonesia was still relatively low at 1333 kg/ha, this level is significantly lower compared to production in USA, China and India that reached 3500 kg/ha, 9737 kg/ha and 7609 kg/ha. Groundnut productivity in Indonesia is potentially can be enhanced through the utilization of sub-optimum land of acid soils such as oxisol. In Indonesia, the area of oxisol was estimated around of 108.8 million ha. The present study was arranged to increase the potential of oxisol for groundnut productivity by applying mycorrhiza and organic matter. The Oxisol Tuntang, Boyolali used in this study was characterized with low pH (6.9), very low P content (1.82 ppm) and very low soil organic content (0.65%). A pot experiment was conducted using Complete Randomized Design with treatment of 2x5 factors with 3 replications. Each pot contained 2,5 kg of soil. The first factor was inoculation of mycorrhiza (M) consisting of two levels: no inoculation (M0) and with inoculation (M1). The second factor was input of organic matter (B) consisting of 5 levels: no organic matter (B0), dried leaf litter 298,34g/pot (B1), earthworm castings 220,21g/pot (B2), goat manure 138,17g/pot (B3) and quail manure 91,13g/pot (B4). All of organic matters were applied with diference dosis based on the content of total C in the organic matter and the requirement to achieve soil C at the level 2%. Inoculation of mycorrhiza significantly increased P availability, the percentage of mycorrhizal infectifity and spore density, dry weight upper plant, P concentration and P uptake. Application of organic matter significantly increased pH, P availability, the percentage of mycorrhizal infectivity and spore density, dry weight upper plant, dry weight bottom plant, P concentration and P uptake. Interaction of mycorrhiza and organic matter significantly increased P availability, the percentage of mycorrhizal infectifity and spore density, dry weight upper plant, P concentration and P uptake. Interaction of mycorrhiza and goat manure resulted in the highest of P availability, mycorrhizal infectivity and spore density and plant growth. The highest of P uptake and plant growth were resulted by the interaction of mycorrhiza and goat manure and followed by the interaction of mycorrhiza and castings and the interaction of mycorrhiza and dried leaf litter. The interaction of mycorrhiza and goat manure resulted in the increase of P uptake 440 % and the increase of plant dry 360 % compared to control, respectively.
