The Effect Of Learning Strategy Service Learning To Enhance Achievement in Mathematics Theme 8 Of Mild Mental Retardation Students 8th Grade At SLB Negeri Surakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017. Thesis. Surakarta : Faculty of Teacher Training ang Education Science. Sebelas Maret University, July 2017. The aim of this research is to know The Effect Of Learning Strategy Service Learning To Enhance Achievement in Mathematics Theme 8 Of Mild Mental Retardation Students 8th Grade At SLB Negeri Surakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017. This research uses quantitative approach with pre-experimental one group pretest posttest design. The subject is seven students with mild mental retardation 8th grade at SLB Negeri Surakarta. The data collection uses multiple choices objective test. The data analysis uses nonparametric statistic with Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with SPSS 17. The result of descriptive data analysis obtained pretest average score was 46.14 and posttest was 85.17. The result of nonparametric statistic analysis with Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test obtained Zscore= -2,384 with Asymp Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,017 smaller than the predetermined significance level or 0,017 < 0,05. So that the alternative hypotesis accepted and the nil hypotesis rejected. The conclusion of this research is service learning strategy positively effected to enhance achievement in mathematics theme 8 of mild mental retardation students 8th grade at slb negeri surakarta in academic year 2016/2017.
