    Farah Dwi Kania Nur Haida, D0213039 Diffusion And Adoption of Cyber Village Innovation In Improving Information System, Qualitative Descriptive Study Diffusion and Adoption in Cyber Village Innovation of the adolescents in Campurejo Village, Tretep Subdistrict, Temanggung Regency. Thesis, Department of Communication Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, 106 pages. Starting from the adolescents’s anxieties about the difficulty of network providers, the village head of Campurejo initiated the formation of cyber villages in the village. The background of this research is the location of Campurejo village located on the slope of Mount Prau with an altitude of 1275 m above sea level, as well as the values and norms of village communities located in the mountains far away from the city center. This study aims to find out how the diffusion of innovation, adoption of innovation and the factors that affect the adoption of WiFi network as a form of facilities from the existence of this cyber village. The theory that used in this research is the Diffusion of Innovation Theory. Using qualitative descriptive method, the data was taken by interview and documentation then analyzed using Interactive Analysis Model then tested using Source Triangulation technique. Sampling technique in this research using purposive sampling, produces 7 informants including 1 Village Head, 1 Cyber Village Manager and 5 Village Youth.. Based on the results of the research, the process of diffusion of innovation goes according to the four elements in the theory. Cyber village is an innovation that is really needed by the adolescents of Campurejo Village. The most effective innovation dissemination process is using interpersonal communication channels. The average time for the five teenagers before finally adopting the innovation is about 1 week to 2 months. Beside the innovator, in this research there are two early adopters, one early majority and two late majority. The processes of adoption of the adolescents innovation are going through 5 stages, the first is knowledge (knowledge stage) they understand the general sense of cyber village, second, persuasion (persuasion stage) they begin to attract and seek more information through mass media or peers. Third is decision (decision making stage), adolescents have taken judgment on whether innovation is appropriate for themselves, the fourth stage is implementation (implementation stage) they have decided to use this innovation, and the fifth stage, confirmation (stabilization stage) which is the amplifier for the decision Which one of them is that helped their economic conditions. Adoption process through which adolescents are influenced by individual factors, including selective perception, motivation and trust, and social factors, including residence, employment and income.
