    Abstract

    ABSTRACT The introduction of this Final Project is entitled “Designing ‘Diponegoro War’ Themed Board Game As An Educational Media For Teenager To Learn Indonesian History”. The problems examined are: (1) How to design a ‘Diponegoro War’ themed board game As An Educational Media For Teenager To Learn Indonesian History that can attract teenagers to play it? (2) How to design the promotional media for The Game to inform the target audience about this product? In fact, their knowledge about the subject is lacking, one of many factors of this problem is teenagers think that the educational media of this subject is boring and not very attractive. By designing a board game that has a gameplay that refrerring to the actual event of Diponegoro War, writer tries to increase teenagers’ interest on the subject. The gameplay is to devide player into two sides that opposite each other, Diponegoro side have an objective to elminate five Nederland troops as fast as possible and Nederland side’s objective is to build five fortress as fast as possible. By designing the gameplay referred to the actual historical event, writer hopes that teenagers would understand and intersted to the subject because they not only read the story from a book but experienced the simulation of the event by playing this board game.
