THE EFFECT OF COGNITIVE MORAL DEVELOPMENT LEARNING MODEL ON STUDENTS’ HONESTY IN BASIC COMPETENCY OF IMPLEMENTING DEMOCRATIC VALUE AND CULTURE BY EMPHASIZING ON CONSENSUS PRINCIPLE IN DAILY LIFE IN THE CONTEXT OF REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA STATE (An Experimental Study on the 10th graders of SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar in the school year of 2016/2017) Skripsi, Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, July 2017. This research aimed to fine out whether or not there is an effect of cognitive moral development learning model on students’ honesty in basic competency of implementing democratic value and culture by emphasizing on consensus in daily life in the context of Republic of Indonesia state. The population of research was the 10th graders of MIPA (Mathematics and Natural Science) in SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar. The sample consisted of the 10th MIPA 4 grade containing 36 students as control class and the 10th MIPA 2 grade containing 36 students as experimental class with simple random sampling technique. The design used in this research was true experimental design with posttest-only control design. The data collection was carried out using questionnaire, observation, and document analysis. Questionnaire method was used to obtain data of students’ honesty. Observation method was used as supporting data to find out the successful learning process using cognitive moral development model. Document analysis was used to obtain data about the compatibility of RPP (Learning Implementation Plan) in experiment class to the procedure of applying cognitive moral development learning model. Data analysis prerequisite test was carried out using normality and homogeneity tests, while hypothesis testing using with T-test. Honesty is the attitude the one every student should have in school. There are some factors affecting the students’ honesty in learning process in school environment: teacher as student builder, learning infrastructure, assessment policy, student social environment in school, and school curriculum. The result of hypothesis testing showed tstatistic of 7.419 at significance level of 5% and df = n1 + n2 – 2 (36 + 36 – 2 = 70 ), with ttable1,994. Therefore, tstatistic(7.419) >ttable(1,994) and mean score of 83,49 for experiment class higher than that for control class (65,95). Considering the result of calculation, it could be concluded that there was an effect of cognitive moral development learning model on the students’ honesty in basic competency of implementing democratic value and culture by emphasizing on consensus principlein daily life in the context of Republic of Indonesia state.
