    Abstract

    HERLANGGA HIZKIAWAN. K7412037. THE INFLUENCE OF WORK EXPERIENCE AND WORK ETHIC ON EMPLOYEES’ PERFORMANCE IN INTERNATIONAL OFFICE OF UNIVERSITAS SEBELAS MARET. Skripsi, Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta. July 2017. The objective of this research was to comprehend: (1) whether there was any influence of work experience on the employees’ work performance in the International Office of Universitas Sebelas Maret; (2) whether there was any influence of work ethics on the employees’ work performance in the International Office of Universitas Sebelas Maret; (3) whether there was any simultaneous influence of both work experience and work ethics on the employees’ work performance in the International Office of Universitas Sebelas Maret. This research used quantitative descriptive method. Population and samples of the research were all employees in the International Office of Universitas Sebelas Maret with a total number of 35 employees, determined through saturated sampling technique. Questionnaires were distributed to 17 respondents from Academic Administration Bureau and Data and Information department of Planning and Information System of Universitas Sebelas Maret (BAAPSI-UNS). Data were collected by means of questionnaire and documentation, and were analysed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 20 program. Based on the research findings, it could be concluded that there were positive and significant influence of work experience and work ethic, both partially and altogether, on the employees’ performance in the International Office of Universitas Sebelas Maret. This could be seen from the calculation result. On the variable of work experience (X1¬) toward work performance variable (Y) it was obtained tcounted > ttable (2.143 > 1.694); on the variable of work ethics (X2) toward work performance variable (Y) it was obtained tcounted > ttable (5.150 > 1.694), and on the third hypothesis it was obtained Fcounted > Ftable (18.290>3.295), therefore it could be concluded that there was significant influence of both independent variables (X1 and X2) on dependent variable (Y). The multiple linear regression in this research was constructed as follows: Ῠ = 2.201 + 0.639 X1 + 0.364X2
