    Abstract

    The goal of the research is to know : (1) the relationship between learning motivation against learning achievement , (2) the interaction of peer group against learning motivation, (3) together relationship between learning motivation and peer group interaction with learning achievement. The population in this research is the whole of the student class XI IPS, SMA Muhammadiyah Gemolong in the education year 2008/2009, which consist of 3 classes and its amount is 92 students. Sample is taken with using proportional random sampling technique, it is taken 50 % from the population and it is attained 46 students. Free variable data collecting technique is learning motivation and peer group interaction with questioner technique, while bounded variable data of learning achievement use documentation of report marks. Data analysis used is double linear regression analysis technique of manual X cell. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded (1) the relationship between learning motivation against learning achievement is based on account of rxly = 0, 448 and p= 0,000, so hypotheses which tell that “there are significance of positive relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement of the class XI, SMA Muhammadiyah Gemolong in the education year 2008/2009”, it is recognized. Relative Support (SR) is 53,33% and Effective Support is 18, 94 %. (2) The relation of peer group interaction against learning achievement of the student class XI IPS , SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Gemolong is based on calculation rx2y=0,421 and p=0,004, so Hypotheses which tell “There is significant positive relationship of the peer group interaction with learning achievement of the student class XI, SMA Muhammadiyah Gemolong in the education year 2008/2009, is acknowledged. Relative Support is 46, 67 % and Effective Support is 16,58 %. (3) Together relationship between learning motivation and peer group interaction with learning achievement based on calculation is attained p=0,000 and F= 11,844, thus hypo these that tell “ There is significance of positive relationship and peer group interaction with learning achievement of the students class XI of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Gemolong in the education year 2008/2009”, is accepted. Relative Support is 100% and Effective Support is 50, 09%.
