    Abstract

    The purpose of this research is to ascertain culture and social characterictics of keroncong art of Swastika community, to find out the cultural capital that Swastika community has, to knowing the preservation discursus that has been done by Swastika community. The researcher uses the theory of communication act, cultural capital concept, and social change theory. In the theory of communication act, habermas explained that communication act will happen if there are two persons or more. Here represented by communicator and communican. Comunication act by Habermas will be joined with the theory by Bourdieu in which the communication act that has been interacted is a cultural capital that eventually will forms a social change. The methoed used in this research is qualitative with descriptive qualitaive approach. Data collecting technique has been done by using in-depth interview and observation. Whereas sample collecting technique has been done by using purpossive sampling. Analysis technique is using interactive model data analysis and to verify data validity is using source triangulation. The result shows that preservation discursus of keroncong as cultural art that has been done by Swastika community is successful. This matter indicated by social change that happened in junior members of Swastika community. Keywords: Discursus, Community, Preservation
