    Abstract

    Banana cv Mas Kirana (Musa acuminata L) is one of the most consumed bananas in Indonesia. Propagation of Mas Kirana at farmers level is still conventional that is using sucker. Propagation by method of sucker still has some weaknesses, among others, the number of sucker produced is less, the quality of the sucker is also not free from disease, this will affect the health of crops in the field and the quality of fruit produced. Therefore it is necessary to make an effort to produce banana seedlings in large quantities and have a superior quality by propagation of banana seeds in vitro. This research was conducted at Fisiologi Tumbuhan dan Bioteknologi, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta in May 2016 until December 2016. This study used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors: coconut water concentration (75, 150, 225) ml/l and IBA (0; 0.5; 1; 1.5) ppm. Processing data with ANOVA α10% and DMRT analysis α10%. Treatment of coconut water and IBA have no effect on all growth indicators. The interaction between coconut water and IBA gave significantly different results on emerging growth indicator buds, root appears, buds appear, and number of buds. The most rapid shoots occur at 3 HST at 0.5 ppm IBA and 75 ml / l of coconut water. The fastest root appears at 6.00 HST at 0 ppm IBA and 150 ml / l coconut water. The most rapid leaf appearance occurs at 14 HST at 0.5 ppm IBA and 75 ml / l coconut water treatment. The highest number of shoots was found in the administration of 225 ml / l of coconut water and 0 ppm IBA yielding 13.33 buds.
