    Abstract

    Galuh Luwesing Afni. K3212032. BATIK MOTIVE DRAWING LEARNING IN BATIK TULIS SUBJECT IN THE 12TH B OF TEXTILE WORK SKILL PROGRAM IN SMK NEGERI 9 SURAKARTA IN THE SCHOOL YEAR OF 2016/2017. Thesis. Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Surakarta Sebelas Maret University, May 2017. This research aimed to find out: (a) the description of objective, material, strategy, method, media, tool, and material, and learning evaluation of batik motive drawing in the 12th B graders of Textile Work Skill Program in SMK Negeri 9 Surakarta, and (b) the description on the product of batik motive drawing work in Textile Work Skill Program in SMK Negeri 9 Surakarta. The data source employed included: informant, place and event, document and archive. Techniques of collecting data used were: interview, observation, and documentation. Data validation was carried out using an interactive model of analysis. The result of research showed that: (1) The process of learning batik motive drawing has involved the following learning components: (a) learning objective has fulfilled the three aspects of student ability development: affective, cognitive and psychomotor, (b) the material includes the definition of batik motive, batik motive composing elements, and batik motive types, (c) learning strategy used was scientific approach including: observing, questioning, trying, associating, and communicating, (d) the method used included lecturing, demonstration, questioning, recitation, and discussion methods, (e) learning method used included LCD, power point, and motif batik printed picture, learning instrument used included pencil, eraser, and drawing pen, the materials used were carton paper, tracing paper, and unbleached plain cloth, (f) learning evaluation included three aspects: affective, cognitive and psychomotor aspects, the assessment of affective (attitude) aspect included observation, self-assessment, peer assessment and assessment using attitude journal, while the assessment of cognitive (knowledge) aspect included performance, project, and portfolio assessments, (2) Evaluation on the students’ work in drawing batik motive based on the batik motive composing element, shape element, and design principle had been good, overall. Most of works had fulfilled those elements. Keywords: learning process, drawing, batik, batik motive.
