    Abstract

    Research aims to assess the use of organic fertilizer decomposed with biofilmed biofertilizer to improve soil chemical fertility and upland kangkung yield. Field research was conducted on Vertisols at Gunung Wijil Village, Jaten, Karanganyar in April to Mei 2016. The research method uses Randomized Complete Block Design with single factor, that is dose of organic fertilizer decomposed with biofilm biofertilizer. Organic fertilizer consisted of 9 dose (0 tons/ha, 3 tons/ha, 6 tons/ha, 9 tons/ha, 12 tons/ha, 15 tons/ha, 18 tons/ha, 21 tons/ha and NPK fertilizer as standart of comparison). Upland kangkung seeds was planted with 15 x 15 cm space cropping. Variables observed were total soil nitrogen, available soil phospor, available soil kalium, organic matter, pH, cation exchange capacity (CEC), plant height, number of plant leaf, fresh weight, and dry weight. Data was analyzed using F test 95% and Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) 95%. The result showed that organic fertilizer dose have significant influence on available soil phospor, available soil kalium, organic matter, pH, growth and plant yield. Highest fresh weight achieved by 21 tons/ha of organic fertilizer dose with average 95,61 gr/plant (31 tons/ha) or increasing 176% compared to control.
