      Abstract

      The objective of this research is to improve the attitude of responsibility on Accounting learning through the application of the active learning strategy with quiz team type. Its subjects were 36 students in Grade X5 of the Office Administration Department, State Vocational High School 1 of Karanganyar, the class of 2016/2017. This research used the classroom action research with Kammis and Taggart model. It consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Questionnaire was used to collect the data of attitude of responsibility, and the data of learning process were collected through observation. They were analyzed by using the statistical, descriptive, comparative technique of analysis for measure of enchancement by average scores for each cycle and the critical technique of analysis by identifying the course of the learning process. The application of the active learning strategy with quiz team type could improve the attitude of responsibility as shown by the results of tests where the percentages of students with the average score of the attitude of responsibility, which met the minimum learning completeness criterion were respectively 56.45% prior to the treatments, 69.16% in Cycle I, and 73.75% in Cycle II.
