      Abstract

      Anggraini Febraningrum. K7113019. APPLICATION OF PAIR CHECK LEARNING BASED ON FLASHCARD MEDIA TO IMPROVE FRACTION COUNTING SKILL (Classroom Action Research at Fifth Grade Students of Bratan II Surakarta Elementary School in Year 2016/2017). Thesis, Surakarta: Teacher Training Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University, July 2017. The purpose of the research is to improve fraction counting skill with Pair Check learning based on Flashcard media to fifth grade student of Bratan II Surakarta Elementary School in Year 2016/2017. The form of the research is classroom action research with consist of two cycle. Every cycle consist of four phases namely: planning, implementation the action, observation, and reflection. The subject of the research is teacher and fifth grade student of Bratan II Surakarta Elementary School in Year 2016/2017, totalling 38 students. The techniques of data collections is use interview, observation, test, and documentation. The techniques of data analysis use interactive model (Miles & Hubermen) with consist of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The techniques of data validation is triangulation of source and triangulation of techniques. The result of the research show that application of Pair Check learning based on Flashcard media can improve fraction counting skill to fifth grade student of Bratan II Surakarta Elementary School in Year 2016/2017. This result can be proved by the average value in the initial conditions before applying Pair Check learning based on Flashcard media is 70,97 with percentage of class completeness is 39,47, in the first cycle the average value increase to 80,17 with percentage of class completeness is 55,26%, and in the second cycle the average value increase to 87,3 with percentage of class completeness is 92,11%. Based on the research, it can be concluded that application of Pair Check learning based on Flashcard media be able to improve fraction counting skill at fifth grade student of Bratan II Surakarta Elementary School in Year 2016/2017.
