    Abstract

    ABSTRACT RAHAYU DINA FITRIANI. K4613115. THE USE OF AUDIO VISUAL AID TO IMPROVE LEARNING OUTCOME OF RHYTHMIC GYMNASTIC IN THE 4TH GRADERS OF SD N JAMBANAN III SRAGEN IN THE SCHOOL YEAR OF 2016/2017. Thesis, Surakarta : Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Surakarta Sebelas Maret University, May 2017. The objective of research was to find out the effect of audio visual learning aid in rhythmic gymnastics in individual movement (male and female steps) can improve the competency result of the 4th graders of SD N Jambangan III Sragen in the school years of 2016/2017. The study was Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles, each of which consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of research was the 4th graders of SD N Jambangan III Sragen, consisting of 22 students: 15 girls and 7 boys. The data source of research derived from teacher, author, and students. Techniques of collecting data used were observation with conventional assessment including affective, cognitive (written response in the form of test), and psychomotor (performance) aspects of rhythmic gymnastic in individual movement series (male and female steps). Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive technique based on qualitative analysis with percentage technique. The result of research showed that the audio visual learning media could improve the students’ learning outcome of rhythmic gymnastic from cycle I to cycle II. From the result of analysis, it could be seen the improvement from cycle I to cycle II. The learning outcome of students’ rhythmic gymnastic showed that 59.1% (13) of 22 students passed successfully in cycle I. This figure increased to 90.9% (20) of 22 students passing successfully. Considering the result of research, it could be concluded that the use of audio visual learning media could improve learning outcome of rhythmic gymnastic in the 4th graders of SD N Jambanan III Sragen in the school year of 2016/2017.
