    Abstract

    Hedyotis corymbosa is herb plant that used by Chinese people for a long time ago. Its plant have a lot of benefits for the healing of various diseases such as cancer, diuretic, fever inflammatories, circulatory circulators, detoxification, and indigestion (Soemardji et al. 2015). The aims of the research is to determine the effect of different watering frequency and dosage of liquid fertilizer on the growth and ursolic acid content in hedyotis corymbosa. This research was conducted in Tegal Gede, Karanganyar on June until August 2016. The secondary metabolit of Hedyotis corymbosa analyzed in B2P2TOOT, Tawangmangu. The experiment method is Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with Split Plot design and the research have two factor of treatment. First treatment (main plot) is various dosage of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) and the second treatment (sub plot) is various watering frequency. The dosage of LOF which comprised of four levels, P0 = 0 ml/plant, P1 = 25 ml/plant, P2 = 35 ml/plant and P3 = 45 ml/plant. Watering frequency consisted of three levels: one (A1), two (A2) and three (A3) days watering interval. The parameters of the research are height of plant, primary branch, growth of root, weight of root, fresh weight and dry weight of plant and ursolic acid content of Hedyotis corymbosa. Data collected had been analyzed by Analysis of Varians (ANOVA), and continued with Duncans Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at level test 10%. The results of the research showed that watering frequency once every 2 days gave the best effect for fresh weight. The dosage of LOF 35 ml/plant is optimum to fresh weight of plant and LOF dosage of 45 ml/plant is optimum to dry weight of plant. The treatment combination of LOF dosage 25 ml/plant and the watering frequency once every 3 days showed the highest ursolic acid content.
