    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Raja bulu banana is the leading banana in Indonesia. The problem of propagation of raja bulu banana is produced a few sucker in a year, so it needs propagation to increase the number of shoots/sucker in a short time with tissue culture techniques. The research aimed to study the combination of humic acid and BAP to multiply shoot of raja bulu banana, and to get the right combination of humic acid and BAP as a multiplication medium of raja bulu banana. The research was conducted on July-November 2016 at the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Biotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. The research design was using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors: humic acid concentration (without humic acid, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%), and BAP concentration (1.50 ppm; 1,75 ppm; 2.00 ppm; 2.25 ppm). Data of observation were analyzed using analysis of variance (anova) with 5% level, continued with DMRT 5% and regression analysis. The results showed that the addition of humic acid and BAP concentration on the media, able to increase the number of shoots, multiplication of shoots, root length, number of leaves, and weight increase explant of raja bulu banana. Combination of humic acid 0.2% with 1.5-2.25 ppm BAP is effective combination for medium of shoots multiplication raja bulu banana, because it can to increase the number of shoot, multiplication of shoot, the number of leaf, and weight gain plantain explants of raja bulu banana.
