    Abstract

    Banana cv. Ambon Kuning is one type of banana in Indonesia that has export potential. In vitro multiplication is an effort to produce banana seedling in short time and disease free. To reduce the cost of producing banana seeds in vitro, this research used coconut water as cytokines and combined with IAA as auxin. The research was conducted at Laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan dan Bioteknologi of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, on September 2016 until Januari 2017. This research was a factorial experiment using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors and three replications. Factor 1 (K) is coconut water with volume consisting of 3 levels: K1 = 75 mL L-1, K2 = 150 mL L-1, and K3 = 225 mL L-1, and factor 2 (A) is the consentration of IAA in 4 level : A0 = 0 ppm, A1 = 0.25 ppm, A2 = 0.5 ppm, and A3 : 0.75 ppm. Data were analized by analysis of variance, regression, and descriptive. The result of this research are coconut water treatment gives a real effect on the variables when the roots appear, the number of shoots, the weight of plantlet, the shoot height, and the length of the root of banana cv. Ambon Kuning, with the concentration of mL L-1 as the best treatment that can increase the variable; Giving IAA with 4 levels of concentration that is: 0 ppm; 0.25 ppm; 0.5 ppm; and 0.75 ppm did not give real effect to banana cv. Ambon Kuning growth; The combination of coconut water treatment and IAA gave a real effect on the variables when shoots arise and the number of roots with the best concentration that can increase the variables are 225 mL L-1 coconut water and 0.75 ppm IAA
