    Abstract

    Lenggang Jalong. THE IMPROVEMENT UNDERSTANDING MONEY CONCEPT THROUGH COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TYPE TEAMS GAMES TURNAMENT IN STUDENT CLASS III SD NEGERI KLECO 2 SURAKARTA IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2016/2017. Minithesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, June 2017. The purpose of this research is to improve the understanding of the concept of money through cooperative learning model teams games tournament type in third grade students SD Negeri kleco 2 Surakarta academic year 2016/2017. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which takes place in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, that is planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is the third grade students of SD Negeri Kleco 2 Surakarta and third grade teacher of SD Negeri kleco 2 Surakarta academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 33 students. The data source comes from teachers, students, and documents. Data collection techniques used were interview, observation, test, and documentation. Test the validity of data using triangulation of data source and triangulation technique. Analysis of data used is an interactive analysis model that has four components of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The result of this class action research shows that the average value of concept understanding of Money at initial condition is 60,81 with the percentage of classical completeness equal to 27,27%. In cycle 1 the average grade value increased to 77.25 with the percentage of classical completeness equal to 75,76%. In cycle II the average value increased to 95.33 with 100% classical completeness percentage. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams games tournament can improve the understanding of the concept of money in third grade students of SD Negeri Kleco 2 Surakarta in the academic year 2016/2017.
