    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Laila Mutiara. PENERAPAN MODEL CTL (CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING) DENGAN MEDIA KONKRET DALAM PENINGKATAN PEMBELAJARAN IPA TENTANG GERAK BENDA DAN ENERGI PADA SISWA KELAS III SDN GESIKAN TAHUN AJARAN 2016/2017. Skripsi, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta. Juni 2017. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penerapan model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dengan media konkret; (2) meningkatkan pembelajaran IPA tentang gerak benda dan energi melalui penerapan model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dengan media konkret pada siswa kelas III; (3) menemukan kendala dan solusi yang dihadapi pada penerapan model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dengan media konkret. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas dua pertemuan yang meliputi empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas III SDN Gesikan tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas III dan guru kelas III SDN Gesikan. Teknik pengumpulan data mengggunakan teknik tes dan nontes (observasi dan wawancara). Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif komparatif dan teknik analisis kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) langkah-langkah penerapan model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dengan media konkret, yaitu: (a) konstruktivisme dengan media konkret, (b) tanya jawab, (c) inkuiri dengan media konkret, (d) diskusikelompok, (e) pemodelan dengan media konkret, (f) refleksi, (g) penilaian sebenarnya; (2) penerapan model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dengan media konkret dapat meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran IPA tentang gerak benda dan energi, terbukti adanya peningkatan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa, yaitu pada siklus I = 76,98% , siklus II = 82,50%, dan siklus III = 94,73%; (3) kendala dalam penerapan model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dengan media konkret, yaitu (a) guru kurang memotivasi siswa untuk bertanya sehingga tidak ada siswa yang bertanya; (b) beberapa siswa asyik bermain sendiri ketika kegiatan percobaan; (c) masih ada yang siswa pasif saat mengerjakan LKS dan siswa belum aktif menanggapi presentasi. Solusi dari kendala tersebut, yaitu: (a) mengarahkan guru supaya lebih memotivasi siswa untuk bertanya; (b) mengarahkan guru agar lebih mengkondisikan kelas ketika percobaan; (c) memotivasi siswa untuk aktif dalam mengerjakan LKS dan membimbing siswa untuk aktif dalam menanggapi presentasi kelompok. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dengan media konkret dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran IPA tentang gerak benda dan energi pada siswa kelas III SDN Gesikan. THE USE OF CTL (CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING) MODEL USING CONCRETE MEDIA IN IMPROVING THE LEARNING OF IPA ABOUT THE MOVEMENT OF OBJECT AND ENERGY FOR THIRD GRADE STUDENTS OF SDN GESIKAN IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2016/2017. Thesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta. June, 2017. The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe the steps on the use of CTL (contextual teaching and learning) model using concrete media; (2) to improve the learning of IPA about the movement of object and energy through the use of CTL (contextual teaching and learning) model using concrete media; (3) to describe problems and solutions on the use of CTL (contextual teaching and learning) model using concrete media in improving the learning of IPA about the movement of object and energy for third grade students of SDN Gesikan in the academic year of 2016/2017. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles and two meetings. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the research were 21 students of the third grade of SD Negeri Gesikan. Sources of data were derived from students, teacher, and observer. Techniques of collecting data were learning outcomes test, observation, interview, and documentation. Validity of data in this research was analyzed using triangulation of sources and triangulation of technique. Data were analyzed using comparative technique and critical analysis. The results of this research show that: (1) the steps on the use of CTL (contextual teaching and learning) model using concrete media, namely: (a) constructivism using concrete media, (b) asking, (c) inquiry using concrete media, (d) discussing, (e) modeling using concrete media, (f) reflection, (g) actual evaluation; (2) the use of CTL (contextual teaching and learning) model using concrete media can improve improving the learning of IPA about the movement of object and energy for third grade students of SDN Gesikan in the academic year of 2016/2017. It was proven by the increase of learning outcomes in the first cycle 76,98%, in the second cycle 82,50%, and in the third cycle 94,73%; (3) the problems encountered in the learning, namely: (a) teacher were less motivating student to ask so there were no students ask question; (b) some students were playing by themselves during the experiment; (c) some students were working with students worksheet passively and students were not actively commenting the presentation. Solutions of these problems are: (a) guiding teacher to be more motivating students to ask; (b) guiding students to create ideal condition of class; (c) motivating students to be active in doing the students worksheet and commenting the presentation. The conclusion of this research is the use of CTL (contextual teaching and learning) model using concrete media can improve improving the learning of IPA about the movement of object and energy for third grade students of SDN Gesikan in the academic year of 2016/2017.
