    Abstract

    Febita Ayu. THE IMPROVEMENT UNDERSTANDING OF SIMPLE FRACTIONAL CONCEPTS THROUGH CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING MODELS (Classroom Action Research in Third Grade of SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta 2016/2017 Academic Year). Skripsi, Surakarta, Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University, May 2017. The purpose of the research is to improve understanding of simple fractional concepts thorugh Contextual Teaching and Learning models in third grade of SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta 2016/2017 academic year. The subject of this research were teacher and the 34 students of the third grade of SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta 2016/2017 academic year. This research was classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The data collection technique were observation, interview, test, and documentation. The technique of data analyzed was interactive analysis models. The data validity was investigated by source triangulation and technique triangulation. Based on minimum completeness criteria (KKM) ≥75. At pre-action the passing percentage was 41,18%; it increases to 58,82% at cycle I; and then it increases to 91,18% at cycle II. Based on result of the research, it can be concluded that using Contextual Teaching and Learning models can improve understanding of simple fractional concepts on the student third grade of SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta 2016/2017 academic year.
