Consultant: Dr. Akhmad Arif Musaddad, M.Pd, Co-Consultant: Prof. Dr. Nunuk Suryani, M.Pd. Thesis. Surakarta. History Education Magister Departement, Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta. ABSTRACT This study aims: (1) to discribed the use of history learning module of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Muntilan; (2) to described procedure module development of history Magelang youth struggling events against Japan in 1945 Inquiry based to increase nationality insight; and (3) to described the effectiveness of event history module Magelang youth struggling against Japan in 1945 inquiry based to increase nationality insight students. Research methodology used is research research and development (R & D), which refers on the model ADDIE was (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). As for stage this model is: (1) analysis of; (2) design; (3) development; (4) the implementation of, and (5) evaluation. As for the subject of study this is SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Muntilan students on class XII. The results were: (1) history learning in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Muntilan still reference to the text/ the Indonesia history books. The use of local history as a source of learning, and companion textbook yet tobe in full. There has been no development on the history books the local; (2) The development of this module aimed at improving nationality insight and as a medium supporting learning. The training materials used in module namely the Magelang youth struggling events against Japan 1945.The material was chosen because there is values nationality insight in the historic event useful response to the low nationality insight students. Module history of Magelang youth struggling events also apply learning model Inquiry to ease learning school tuition either individually or either in groups (3) Module has effective to increase nationality insight for students with indicated by positive results and significant based on the results of posttest on class experimentation and control class with this T test achievement of 0,006 < 0.05 and a score attitude nationality insight of 0,009 < 0.05. It means there are significant impact on module developed, thus module developed effective to accelerate nationality insight.
