    Abstract

    Batik SMEs in Surakarta have already started implementing e-business - specifically e-commerce. It is supported by Kampung Batik Digital which formed by the local government through coaching. The community aims to encourage the use of e-business on SMEsin an integrated manner. Since the e-commerce has been applied, the community need an approach or development planto encourage SMEs to take advantage of e-business gradually or thorough. The development plan is expected to be appropriate and right on target so that the coaching could be run effectively. Therefore, the community needs information about how far the e-business is used and what types of e-business transaction required by the batik SMEs. The initial stages of this study is to map the use of e-business using cluster analysis. Furthermore, to determine the type of e-business transactions required by SMEs, this study tested two groups of respondents, SME business people and community officials. The identification ofbusiness requirements of SMEs were conductedusing the percentage of actual score method, while the business requirements of community officials were conducted using pairwise comparison method. The results revealed that there are three clusters of SMEs batik based on the use of e-business with major transaction one-commerce, e-products and e-customer relation management. In terms of e-business requirements, the three clusters have different need for implementations. Keyword:Cluster Analysis, E-business, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)
