    Abstract Chendy Endriansa, G0011059, 2014. Correlation between Nutritional Status To Age of Menarche In Adolescent at SMP 24 Surakarta. Mini Thesis. Faculty of Medicine, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. Background : Menarche namely menstruation which usually occurs at the age of 12-13 (Price, 2006). Menarche occurs when a young woman entered the age of transition. The age of menarche is determined by several factors such as nutritional status. Nutrition affects sexual maturation in adolescents who received early menarche. In general, those who experienced early sexual maturity will have a Body Mass Index (BMI) higher and those with delayed sexual maturity has a less Body Mass Index at the same age. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the nutritional status to the age of menarche in adolescent at SMP 24 Surakarta. Method : This study used a cross sectional design. This study used 100 female student of SMP 24 Surakarta as the research sample selected with purposive random sampling. Data were collected by measuring BMI (Body Mass Index) and questionnaires, then analyzed by Multiple Logistic Regression. Results : The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the nutritional status to the age of menarche in adolescent at SMP 24 Surakarta. The number of respondents which have good nutrition aged 12-13 years is 44 people (44%) and aged >13 years is 19 people (19%). While the number of respondents which have poor nutrition aged 12-13 years is 16 people (16%) and aged >13 years is 21 people (21%). The statistical calculations using Chi Square test obtained the value of ² which is 6.871 with p value of 0.009. Conclusions : There is a significant correlation between nutritional status to age of menarche. Female student which have a good nutritional status will experience menarche 3 times faster than female student which have a poor nutritional status.
