    Abstract

PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) DENGAN MEDIA MODEL BANGUN RUANG DALAM PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA PADA SISWA KELAS V SDN 3 SELANG TAHUN AJARAN 2016/2017. Skripsi, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, April 2017. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan media model bangun ruang; (2) meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika tentang sifat-sifat bangun ruang melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan media model bangun ruang; (3) mendeskripsikan kendala dan solusi pada penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan media model bangun ruang dalam peningkatan hasil belajar matematika tentang sifat-sifat bangun ruang pada siswa kelas V SDN 3 Selang tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas dua pertemuan yang meliputi empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SDN 3 Selang yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu siswa dan guru. Teknik pengumpulan data mengggunakan teknik tes dan nontes (observasi dan wawancara). Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif komparatif dan teknik analisis kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) langkah-langkah penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan media model bangun ruang, yaitu: (a) orientasi masalah, (b) pengorganisasian siswa untuk belajar dan mengenalkan media, (c) pembimbingan siswa untuk melakukan penyelidikan dengan media model bangun ruang, (d) penyajian hasil kerja atau diskusi, (e) analisis dan evaluasi proses pemecahan masalah; (2) penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan media model bangun ruang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika tentang sifat-sifat bangun ruang, terbukti adanya peningkatan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa, yaitu pada siklus I = 78,57% , siklus II = 90,48% dan siklus III = 92,86%; (3) kendala dalam penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan media model bangun ruang, yaitu siswa kurang tertib saat berkelompok dan berdiskusi, beberapa kelompok masih bingung dan keliru menggunakan media, beberapa siswa tidak memperhatikan penjelasan guru, tidak berani bertanya, dan tidak mencatat. Solusi dari kendala tersebut yaitu menegur siswa yang kurang tertib dan tidak mencatat, memberi bimbingan kepada semua kelompok saat berdiskusi, siswa dikondisikan agar memperhatikan penjelasan guru dan memotivasi siswa agar berani bertanya. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan media model bangun ruang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika tentang sifat-sifat bangun ruang. THE USE OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) MODEL USING GEOMETRY MODEL AS MEDIA IN IMPROVING LEARNING OUTCOMES ON MATEMATIKA FOR FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SDN 3 SELANG IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2016/2017. Thesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta, April 2017. The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe the steps on the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model using geometry model as media; (2) to improve learning outcome on mathematics about the characteristics of geometries through the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model using geometry model as media, (3) to describe obstacles and solutions on the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model using geometry model as media in improving the learning outcomes on mathematics about the characteristics of geometries for fifth grade students of SDN 3 Selang in the academic year of 2016/2017. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Each cycle was done in two meetings. Each meeting consisted of four stages, namely; planning, conducting, observing, and reflecting. Subjects of the research were 21 fifth grade students of SDN 3 Selang in the academic year of 2016/2017. The data were collected from teacher and student. Techniques of collecting data were test and non-test. (observation and interview). Validity of data in this research was analyzed using triangulation of sources and triangulation of technique. Analysis of data was using statistic descriptive comparative technique and critical analysis technique. The results of this research show that (1) ) the steps on the use of problem based learning (PBL) model using geometry model as media, namely: (a) problem orientation, (b) organizing students to know the media and learning, (c) guiding students to conduct research using geometry model, (d) presenting the results or discussion, (e) analysis and problem-solving process; (2) the use of problem based learning (PBL) model using geometry model can improve the learning outcome of mathematics about for fifth grade students of SDN 3 Selang in the academic year of 2016/2017. It was proven by the increase of percentage of students’ completeness, 78,57% in cycle I , 90,48% in cycle II, and 92,86% in cycle III; (3) the problem faced during the research was there were students that not following the discussion in good condition, some students looked confused in using the media, they did not pay attention on teacher’s explanation, feeling afraid to ask, and they did not making any note. Solutions proposed were teacher gave warning to students that bad-behaving during discussion, guiding all students, controlling students and encouraging students to ask. The conclusion of this study is the use of problem based learning (PBL) model using using geometry model can improve the learning outcome of mathematics about the characteristics of geometries for fifth grade students of SDN 3 Selang in the academic year of 2016/2017.
