    ABSTRACT Meghan Aruma. THE IMPACT OF PICTURE WORD INDUCTIVE MODEL TO THE ENHANCEMENT OF VOCABULARY MASTERY OF 2nd GRADE OF MENTALLY RETARDED CHILDREN AT SLB B C DHARMA ANAK BANGSA KLATEN 2016/2017. Skripsi. Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, April 2017. This research’s purpose is to know the impact of using Picture Word Inductive Model to the enhancement of vocabulary mastery of 2nd grade of mentally retarded children at SLB B C Dharma Anak Bangsa Klaten 2016/2017. The method that used in this research is experiment method in form of one group pretest-posttest design, where the subject will be treated for a certain time and the impact of the treatment will be measured from the difference from pretest and posttest. The subject of this research are 5 children of 2nd grade at SLB B C Dharma Anak Bangsa Klaten. The method of data collect is using test. The method of the test was multiple choices. This research shows that the average score of bahasa Indonesia subject about knowing fruits was getting some increase, which was 43 (pretest) to 83,20 (posttest). Non parametric analytic score was Zhitung= -2,060b with Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,039 from significant point which was α= 0,05. The conclusion of this research is the using of Picture Word Inductive Model was indeed made some improvement about vocabulary mastery of 2nd grade of mentally retarded children at SLB B C Dharma Anak Bangsa Klaten 2016/2017.
