    Abstract

    ABSTRACT AN ANALYSIS OF THE TRANSMISSION LOSS ON THE FRONT CAVITY OF DESIGN MUFFLER PSS-X1 WITH SPECTRAL DECOMPOSITION FOUR MICROPHONE METHOD By Henny Ekowati M0201033 There is an observation about analysis of the transmission loss on the front cavity of design muffler PSS-X1 with spectral decomposition four microphone method. The observation has been done to decide the transmission loss value with decomposition four microphone method. Muffler PSS-X1 design consists of 2 model designs are single perforated baffle model (SPB) and multiple perforated baffle model (MPB) have result 10 configuration. The test done by using 4 microphone. The observation result show that the variation of the filler using and baffle structure variation influence the value of the transmission loss. MPB design model with filler in first and second interpose is a prototype design model that has absorbtion best work with the value of the transmission loss is 5,35 dB under 1000 Hz frequency.
