    Abstract

SUMMARY By ATIK TRIYASTUTI H 0500034 The aim of this research was to know the influence of addition enzyme in ration to performance of local male duck. This research was conducted at the farm of Livestock Production, Agriculture Faculty, Sebelas Maret University at Jatikuwung, Karanganyar on August 28th until November 7th , 2004. This research used 100 local male duck which two weeks old, deviced to four treatments by Completely Randomized Design (CRD) Undirectional pattern, five replication with the each replication consist of five local male duck that looked after 10 week old age. The Level of addition enzyme in ration at each treatment were P0 ( 100% Basal Ration + 0% enzyme), P1 ( 100% Basal Ration + 0,05% enzyme), P2 ( 100% Basal Ration + 0,10% enzyme) and P3 ( 100% Basal Ration + 0,15% enzyme). Parameter perceived were feed consumption, avarage daily gain, feed convertion ratio and Income Over Feed Cost ( IOFC). Result of research indicate that use of enzyme until level 0,15 percent did not have an effect on feed consumption, avarage daily gain, feed convertion ratio and Income Over Feed Cost ( IOFC). Mean of Ransum consumption range from 108,38 until 110,60 gram/tail/day, mean of accretion of body wight range from 21,65 until 22,67 gram/tail/day, mean of Ransum convertion range from 4,78 until 5,12 and mean of Income Over Feed Cost range from Rp. - 4691,54 until Rp. - 5191,82 per tail. Conclusion from this research was level of using enzyme in ration up to 0,15 percent did not influence the performance of local male duck.
