    Abstract

    Abstract : This research aims to describe the categories of directive speech act in “Negeri ½ Demokrasi, the categories expressive speech act in “Negeri ½ Demokrasi”, and the type of directive and expressive speech act in “Negeri ½ Demokrasi as well as its relevance a teaching material of Indonesian language for 8th grade SMPIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta. This research form of qualitative descriptive by using microethnology strategy. The research result obtained: (1) directive speech acts in “Negeri ½ Demokrasi” as many as 35 speech acts or 36,84% from total number 95 speech acts. Percentage 36,84% include directive speech acts subcategories asked, subcategory advising, and subcategories of suggest, subcategories advice, subcategories forced, subcategories challenged, subcategories urgented, subcategories invited (2) expressive speech acts in “Negeri ½ Demokrasi” as many as 20 speech acts or 21,05% which covers the subcategory of criticised,, say thanks, praised, blaming and complaining, and (3) its relevance as a teaching material of Indonesian language for 8th Junior High School Integrated Islam Nur Hidayah inclued in KTSP curriculum Competence Standard about used by Indonesia languange right and good to discuss and debt.
