THE EFFECTIVENESS THINK PAIR SHARE TYPE OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL BY USING BLOCK DIAGRAM MEDIA AGAINST STUDENTS RESULT OF STUDY IN THE ELEVEN GRADE SMA NEGERI 1 KARANGANNYAR IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2016/2017. Thesis. Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University. January 2017. The aim of this study was to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share with diagram block media toward the learning results of geography in the sub material "The process of Forming, Potential, and Distribution of Mineral”. Population of this study was all students of class eleven IPS in SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar. The class eleven IPS 1 and eleven IPS 2 were selected as sample of study and it used the simple random sampling technique. This research used experimental method with Randomized Control group pretest-posttest design and Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design. The collecting of cognitive data was conducted by using test and the collecting of attitude and skill data were conducted by using sheet of observation. The data were analyzed by one side t-test. The results show that cooperative model type Think Pair Share with diagram block media is more effective than conventional model because it shows that the average of using the cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share with diagram block media is higher than the average of conventional model, it is 26 > 22. The average of scoring attitude by cooperative model type Think Pair Share with diagram block media is higher than the average of conventional model, it is 86 > 70. The average of scoring skills by cooperative model type Think Pair Share with diagram block media is higher than the average of conventional model, it is 72 > 70.
