THEINTEGRATION MODEL OF LOCAL WISDOM VALUES IN PALEMBANG’S LIMAS HOUSE ARCHITECTURE AND MEA (Means-Ends Analysis) TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ SOCIAL SOLIDARITY ATTITUDE IN SMA NEGERI 1 SIMPANG . Consultant: Prof .Dr. Sariyatun, M.Pd. M.Hum. Co-Consultant: Prof. Dr. Hermanu Joebagio, M.Pd. History Education Studies Program. The Faculty of Education, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. ABSTRACT This research and development study aimed to 1) a. find out the level of students’ understanding on local wisdom values in Palembang’s limas house architecture; b. Analyze students’ Social solidarity attitude, c. Analyze the needs of history learning model development, d. Analyze the existing learning model; 2) develop the integration model of local wisdom values in Palembang’s limas house architecture and MEA (Means-Ends Analysis) to improve students’ Social solidarity attitude; and 3) measure the students attitude and the effectivity of the integration model developed. Methodologically, this study was designed in the shade of development model proposed by Dick and Carey. Generally, the study was divided into four main phases; preliminary research, instruments validity done by relevant experts, product trial, and the effectivity measurement done via t-test;. Accordingly, the results show that: 1) a. Students’ social solidarity attitude was still low, b. Their understanding about local wisdom values contained in Palembang’s limas house was still low, c. The existing learing model in SMAN 1 Simpan was considered the conventional one, d. Inovative learning model development which can identified local wisdom values in limas house architecture combined with value clarification technique (VCT) and problem solving approach was highly needed; 2) the learning model intended is successfully developed based on characteristics of cooperative learning model combined with VCT to integrate it with MEA (Means-Ends Analysis), which is the most suitable model in the terms of lesson planning syntax, relevant sources, and the avaibility supporting learning materials; 3) the learning model developed is very effective in improving social solidarity attitude which can be seen from the significance value obtained (0.000<0.05), meanwhile, the significance points of students attitude measurement was 0.016 which is less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is improvement for the students in term of the attitude.
