    Optimized combustion process can improve the engine performance and reduce fuel consumption. Adjusting the ignition angle as good as possible is one method to optimize combustion process. Ignition angle setting can be done easily by using CDI (capacitive discharge ignition). Single chip STM32F303VCT6 32-bit microcontroller is implemented to read the engine speed and control the ignition angle on the new CDI. This research of CDI on Suzuki Satria F150 motorcycle was done by comparing the performance of the new CDI and the old one. The new CDI ignition angle variation using standard ignition angle of motorcycle, standard plus 2 degrees, 4 degrees, 6 degrees, and 8 degrees. The result shows that the new CDI doing well on Suzuki Satria F150, and it can be use to optimize fuel consumption. The performance of new CDI was concluded by comparing it with old CDI of Suzuki Satria F150 motorcycle, with thermal efficiency increase 5,38 %, torque increase 0,773 N.m, power increase 0,731 kW, bmep increase 66,149 kPa, and bsfc reduction 0,0057 Kg/kW.h. From the research result it can be concluded if using the new CDI with the right ignition angle can improve the combustion efficiency if compared to standard CDI Keyword: CDI, ignition angle, engine performance
